Michigan State opened the month in its new Nike ?Hyper Elite Dominance? uniform, and it's Ohio State's turn Tuesday night. The Buckeyes saved their new design, which Nike created to draw on past successes for motivation, for bitter rival Michigan. If you remember, Ohio State wore this Nike alternate last season at Michigan.

It's interesting that the Buckeyes are in gray shorts, because the picture Nike tweeted late last month showed a gray jersey and scarlet shorts. According to @LindLGHL's sources, the Buckeyes may go with an all-scarlet look March 2 at Indiana.

That's a good call. The unnatural multicolored design would have been an eye-sore. Plus, this way, Ohio State has a home and away alternate uniform. Most important, though, this design honors Ohio State's history, specifically the Jim Jackson era.
