There were two exciting Big Ten hockey games tonight on BTN's Frozen Friday. No. 12 Michigan kicked off the action with a home win over No. 9 Wisconsin. Michigan State followed with a shootout win over No. 1-ranked Minnesota in the second game. Catch up on all the scores, stats and video highlights in this post.

MICHIGAN STATE 2, MINNESOTA 2 (MSU wins in shootout) | RECAP

The top-ranked Minnesota men?s hockey team extended the nation?s longest unbeaten streak to 13 games on Friday night at Mariucci Arena, recording a 2-2 tie against Michigan State before losing to the Spartans in a shootout. Minnesota, now 18-2-5 and 7-0-2-0 in league play, overcame an early 2-0 deficit, but for the second time in three games against the Spartans this season, was unable to take the extra point by winning the shootout.

MICHIGAN 3, WISCONSIN 1 | RECAP

Tyler Motte (St. Clair, Mich.) and Alex Guptill (Newmarket, Ontario) scored in a 1:20 span in the first period, Zach Hyman (Toronto, Ontario) added a second-period goal, and Zach Nagelvoort (Holland, Mich.) made 26 saves to lead the 12th-ranked University of Michigan men's hockey team to a 3-1 win over No. 9 Wisconsin on Friday night (Jan. 31) at Yost Ice Arena.

OHIO STATE 5, PENN STATE 1 | RECAP

Behind 46 saves from freshman goalie Christian Frey and 11 points from its junior class, the Ohio State men's hockey team downed Penn State, 5-1, Friday in Value City Arena. Juniors Ryan Dzingel and Max McCormick each scored twice in the win, with Big Ten leading scorer Dzingel adding an assist for a three-point night. Junior Tanner Fritz had two assists in the victory.
