Michigan State basketball is going with a special throwback uniform for Saturday night's huge tussle with rival Michigan at the Breslin Center. The Spartans will wear their "State" script design from 1979, the year Magic Johnson and Michigan State won the national title.

The team hasn't worn the uniform since the 2003-04 season, according to this mlive.com article.

This is a classic and excellent look; in fact, it's one Nike and the Spartans should thinking about bringing back in a more modern design.

The Spartans (7-0) host intrastate rival Michigan (6-0) at 7 p.m. ET Saturday.
