Led by a balanced attack, the No. 9 Wisconsin men’s hockey team overcame a 2-1 deficit to defeat Big Ten rival Ohio State, 5-3, Friday night at the Kohl Center. Senior forward Tyler Barnes (Eagan, Minn.) led the Badgers charge tallying a goal and two assists, marking his seventh multi-point game of the season.

JT Compher (Northbrook, Ill.) had two goals and two assists, and Derek DeBlois (Narragansett, R.I.) also scored twice to lead the 14th-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team to a 5-2 road win over Michigan State at Munn Ice Arena. The win is Michigan’s first at Munn since March 13, 2010, snapping U-M’s four-game winless streak (0-2-2) on Michigan State’s home ice. The Wolverines scored three third-period goals to put the Spartans away after the teams entered the third period tied at 2-2.
