I can see why Fran McCaffery was as irate as he was at the Cole Center …(but a grown man like that reacting the way he did over a game is a little silly)..understand that these coaches are fighting for their jobs on a day in day out basis…and quite Frankly(and I’ve said this for years) NCAA officiating in several venues around the country are intimidated by certain home town crowds and for fear of causing a hometown riot in those citites the officiating is definetley biased in those arenas…in other words officials are INTIMIDATED by the hometown crowds in these places(Kansas,North Carolina,Duke,Syracuse come to mind…and in the big ten the Cole Center in Wisconsin,Assembly Hall in Indiana, and Most Definately the Breslin Center in East Lansing)….. fouls and other calls on one side of the floor are not call evenly on the visitors side of the floor and officials give a home town call to these teams just so they can get a little cheer or approval from the hometown crowd(and lets face it who wouldn’t like to be cheered especially an official)and quite Frankly a visiting team would have to play an almost perfect game …while the home team basically just have to be there to win…Ohio State was able to stay in the game with defense…if OSU plays their usual game, shoots just 40% from the field , doesn’t turn the ball over and the officiating is the same on both ends of the floor…they absolutley POUND MSU on their home floor…..and also working in the medical field i know what Plantiers Fasiatis is Adrian Payne could not have been suffering from this condition he would not have been hardly able to walk and give me Aaron Craft 100 times out of 100 over Keith Appling…and finally MSU be careful about your “just like football”chant at the end of the game at the Breslin Center…OSU is just as accomplished on the hardwood as the spartans….but the Buckeyes are SO FAR AHEAD of sparty on the gridiron….that (all i can say)is evn a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time….enjoy it while you can …it won’t last!!!
