Adreian Payne rises for back-to-back putbacks

Michigan State’s Adreian Payne didn’t start and it wasn’t a guarantee he would play Tuesday night vs. No. 3 Ohio State due to a sprained right foot. This just in: Payne looked good! The star senior soared for back-to-back putbacks in the second half of the fifth-ranked Spartans’ 72-68 overtime win over previously undefeated Ohio State. Watch the sequence in this post.

Yes,MSU won the game, but OSU should have won the game in regulation. Scott had a layup with hardly any time left in the 4th quarter that would have broken the tie giving the win to OSU. But Scott was fouled by a MSU player and the referees failed to see, or chose not to see, resulting in a tie game which then went into overtime where MSU won there easily with some good 3-point shooting. OSU should have won the game, but that’s the way the ball bounces giving OSU their first loss of the season!!
