Crazy. That?s all I?m gonna say about that Alabama-Auburn game. The fallout of that zaniness scrambled the Big Ten Bowl Projections, which is why I do this in pencil-or at least on my nifty HP EliteBook 844Op.

Alabama?s loss to Auburn puts Ohio State in position to play in the BCS title game. Michigan State also looks primed to make its first trip to the Rose Bowl in 26 years.

The big loser last Saturday? Wisconsin. The Badgers? stunning loss at home to Penn State killed its BCS at-large bowl hopes. Now, Wisconsin looks headed to the Capital One Bowl.

A hot Iowa team that travels well should get tabbed for the Outback. But, Nebraska and its massive fan base could get the call to Tampa. Bottom line: Iowa and Nebraska look destined for either the Outback or Buffalo Wild Wings Bowls.

That leaves Minnesota and Michigan for the Gator and Texas Bowls. The Golden Gophers have eight wins and are one of the best stories in the nation. The Wolverines crawled across the finish line with seven wins in a disappointing season. Will the Gator take the warm-and-fuzzy Gophers? Or will it opt for the power of the Michigan brand? Hmmmm. Remember: Bowls are in business to sell tickets and make money. That?s it.

The Heart of Dallas and Little Caesars Bowls will go unfilled by Big Ten teams.
