The last Saturday of the season is here. It?s also rivalry week, with some interesting matchups. The headliner is Ohio State at Michigan. To prep, take my weekly B1G quiz. It?s the last one of the season.

1. What coordinator is the hottest commodity?

A. Ohio State offensive coordinator Tom Herman

B. Wisconsin defensive coordinator Dave Aranda

C. Michigan State defensive coordinator Pat Narduzzi

D. Minnesota defensive coordinator Tracy Claeys

E. Nebraska offensive coordinator Tim Beck

Answer: C. All these guys look destined to one day be head coaches. But Narduzzi may be sitting on the precipice of landing a top job. Some already are connecting him to the UConn job. He has been the architect of some of the nation?s top defenses in recent seasons and almost was lured to Texas A&M in recent seasons. After Narduzzi, Herman is most likely to be next in line to be a head coach. He may even get some looks this offseason. And keep an eye on Beck, who has done a remarkable job given the injury circumstances he has had to deal with in 2013.

2. True or false: If Ohio State beats Michigan, and Auburn downs Alabama, the Tigers will pass the Buckeyes in the BCS standings? Currently, OSU is No. 3 in the BCS standings; Auburn is No. 4.

Answer: False. From the people I?ve talked to, Ohio State will be just fine. Yep, not even a one-loss SEC team that would dump mighty Bama would pass an unbeaten Ohio State. So, a Bama loss would figure to push the Buckeyes up to No. 2 in the BCS standings-and into a spot in the title game.

3. It?s fourth-and 1, who is the best back to give the ball to?

A. Iowa?s Mark Weisman

B. Ohio State?s Carlos Hyde

C. Nebraska?s Imani Cross

D. Penn State?s Zach Zwinak

Answer: Lots of good options, huh?  But how can you not go with Hyde? Exactly. The 6-0, 235-pound Hyde is the best combination of size, speed and power among the aforementioned quartet. Hyde has posted some impressive numbers, carrying 138 times for 1,064 and 13 touchdowns. And he?s averaging a robust 7.7 yards per carry. Hyde also is in the midst of a six-game run of 100-yard rushing games.

4. Aside from Ohio State, what team has the most to gain in the last week of regular-season action?

A. Michigan State

B. Wisconsin

C. Nebraska

D. Iowa

Answer: B. The Badgers need to beat visiting Penn State to remain in contention for a BCS bowl. A win would go a long way in helping Wisconsin vault into the top 14 of the BCS standings and become eligible for an at-large BCS bowl spot. If the Badgers make it, that would the program?s fourth BCS bowl in succession. Pretty impressive.
