I actually have four.

On the positive side–Minnesota. Simply a tremendous season. Quite a few predicted Minnesota scratching its way into a bowl game–but 8-2 with two games left? No one saw that coming.

Iowa–I’m not too big to admit it. Looking at their schedule before the season started, I thought 5-7 would be a stretch. Kudos to Ferentz and co. for turning around last season’s disaster (although Rudock’s performance makes one wonder why they stuck with Vandenberg last year).

Northwestern–the pre-season trendy pick for Legends champ has been a chump. Sure, SOME of their woes can be attributed to injury, but all teams go through that. Ohio State was without Braxton Miller for some games.

Michigan–by Michigan standards, they are just bad. Their offensive line is woeful and none of their running backs are any good. Outside of Gardner (who has been streaky), Funchess, and Galion–their offense is terrible. Their defense keeps them in games, but they don’t play with passion very often.

I’ll go with MSU too since most “experts” had them 5th and M winning the legends, they got the Michigan part right, just forgot to add State to that !

I don’t know why anyone would tout MSU here? Did no one think they were going to be any good?

I probably wouldn’t have predicted the number of wins they have–but I thought they’d be in the thick of the race and it could come down to the Nebraska game for them (and Nebraska)–which it did.
