Bardo: My top 5 Big Ten dunkers are ...

Victor Oladipo and Rodney Williams have moved on, but don’t think for a second that the Big Ten is lacking on highlight-reel dunkers. Sam Thompson is back, after all, as is Glenn Robinson III. Also, there’s plenty of new blood delighting Big Ten fans high above the rim. See Stephen Bardo’s top 5 dunkers in this post.

1. Sam Thompson, Ohio State. He has enough YouTube videos of his dunks that no other explanation is needed.

2. Troy Williams, Indiana. I was told in preseason he’s more athletic than Victor Oladipo. I was skeptical at first, but not anymore.

3. Glenn Robinson III, Michigan. Check the link and notice where his head is!

4. Basil Smotherman, Purdue. I was having trouble pronouncing his name until he went baseline and posterized Rider with an “And 1″ flush!

5. Will Sheehey, Indiana. Last year’s Big Ten Sixth Man of the Year likes to dunk on people and woof about it!!!

Others considered: Joseph Bertrand, Illinois; Adreian Payne, Michigan State; Drew Crawford, Northwestern; D.J. Newbill, Penn State; Sam Dekker, Wisconsin.

No White, Basabi or Marble from Iowa considered?

Bardo is from Illinois, don’t expect no props for the Hawks from him.

Granted I’m a Purdue fan but that dunk by Sheehey was not impressive at all, and i have never considered him a good dunker, but we all know Thompson is number one in the B10 and at least top 5 in the NCAA.
