Dennis Franklin talks 1973 Michigan-OSU game

Former Michigan quarterback Dennis Franklin joined the BTN booth during Saturday’s Michigan-Northwestern game to talk about the memorable 1973 Michigan-Ohio State game, to be featured at 7 p.m. ET in a BTN Originals documentary Tiebreaker. If you don’t recall the game, it finished in a 10-10 tie, and with both teams tied atop the Big Ten standings, the conference’s athletic directors held a vote to decide the Big Ten’s Rose Bowl representative. They picked Ohio State, and the rest is history.

Does anyone know what part of the game (quarter/time) that this interview with Dennis Franklin took place during the game? I am trying to locate it on the dvr copy that I have of the game. Thanks!

LuAnn – The interview took place with 11 minutes left in the second quarter. Thank you.

No wonder I couldn’t find it. The rebroadcast of the game on our cable network went from 12:42 of the 2nd quarter, went to commercial, then came back at 7:00 minutes left in the 2nd quarter saying “due to a time constraint we had to fast forward the game”. Darn!

No word yet. If and when we have details on that, we will post them on for sure. Thanks for the note.
