Third-seeded Michigan State topped fifth-seeded Iowa, 3-2, to claim the 2013 Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament Championship on Sunday afternoon. The Spartans rallied from a 2-0 deficit, and Adelle Lever scored the go-ahead and eventual game-winning goal on a highlight play in the 62nd minute. Abby Barker accounted for Michigan State's first two goals.

This marks Michigan State's fourth Big Ten tourney title and first since 2009. With the win, the Spartans (12-9, 4-2 Big Ten) earn the Big Ten?s automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
