A new basketball season is upon us. Before the ball tips early next month, let's take a look at some of the new uniform and court designs we'll see around the Big Ten this season. A little warning, there aren't nearly as many changes this year as there were last, and that goes for both the uniforms and the courts.

Some good news: After talking to team representatives, it seems like we won't see the adidas "Bleed Out" or Nike "Hyper Elite Road" uniforms that debuted last season. That doesn't mean the companies won't come out with some other new designs that Big Ten teams could break out at some point.

Here's a school-by-school breakdown.

ILLINOIS

The Illini will wear the same three uniforms (white, blue, orange) as last season, but their floor will feature a couple new wrinkles. First, Illinois has followed the rest of the conference and added the "B1G" logo to the court. It is placed in both lanes. Also, because Assembly Hall is now State Farm Center, the team has added the State Farm Center logo near both benches.

INDIANA

The Hoosiers will have no changes for the 2013-14 season. As they say, "It's Indiana," and the proud program doesn't deviate much from its traditional looks (this, this & this). The Hoosiers did add the "B1G" logo to the lanes last year, though.

IOWA

As previously reported on BTN.com, Iowa will have new Nike "Hyper Elite" uniforms this season. The new threads, which include the school's Tigerhawk logo on the back of the jersey and include less piping (see old uniform), will once again come in white, black and gold.

MICHIGAN

A year after wearing several alternate looks ("Bleed Out", Zubaz, 2011-12 road, throwback), Michigan expects to stick to its three normal uniforms (white, blue, maize) this season. .

MICHIGAN STATE

The Spartans will look the same as last year, and the same goes for the court, which has featured several designs in recent years (like this and this).

MINNESOTA

The Gophers will sport the same uniforms as last year, but they have added the "B1G" logo to each lane. The logo used to be in front of media row.

NEBRASKA

The Huskers, of course, open the state-of-the-art Pinnacle Bank Arena this season. With that, they'll have a new court (picture below), one that includes a MUCH smaller "N" at midcourt and the Nebraska state outline. As for uniforms, there are no changes, however a team spokesman said there could be one alternate (not last year's "Bleed Out") and a throwback (again, not last year's).

NORTHWESTERN

The Wildcats, who debuted new Under Armour uniforms last season, have no uniform or court changes. That said, a team spokesman said they expect to debut a new alternate uniform in Big Ten play. That uniform has yet to be released.

OHIO STATE

The Buckeyes will look the same as they did last season. Reminder: Ohio State got a new court following nonconference play last season, and it features the Ohio state outline at midcourt.

PENN STATE

Like Iowa, another Big Ten Nike school, Penn State will be in new Nike "Hyper Elite" uniforms. Again, like the Hawkeyes, the Nittany Lions jersey will feature the school logo on the back – in addition to the "B1G" logo above player numbers. The uniforms will come in white, blue and gray. Watch the team's uniform reveal.

PURDUE

Purdue is not expected to have any new looks this season.

WISCONSIN

A Wisconsin team spokesman said there is nothing new and no plans for any alternate uniforms for the 2013-14 season.
