BTN/BTN2Go to air 2013 Big Ten Fall Championships

CHICAGO – BTN will provide extensive coverage of the 2013 Big Ten fall championships and tournaments, including live broadcasts during the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament, Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Soccer Tournaments and delayed coverage of the Big Ten Men’s and Women’s Cross Country Championships.

Coverage of the quarterfinals for men’s and women’s soccer and field hockey will be streamed live on the Big Ten Digital Network (BTDN). The semifinals and finals for each event will be available on BTN/BTN2Go.

The network will be in Champaign, Ill., for the Big Ten Women’s Soccer Tournament. Live streamed coverage of the quarterfinal round will begin at 11:30 AM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 6, followed by three more games at approximately 2:30 PM ET, 5:30 PM ET and 8:30 PM ET. Live coverage of the semifinal round will begin at noon ET on Friday, Nov. 8, with the second game to follow at approximately 2:30 PM ET. The championship game will air live at 2 PM ET on Sunday, Nov. 10. Michigan, Nebraska and Penn State are ranked No. 8, No. 18 and No. 22, respectively. Ohio State will aim to win its second-consecutive Big Ten Tournament title.

BTN will provide live coverage of the quarterfinals, semifinals and final of the Big Ten Field Hockey Tournament at Ohio State. Live streamed coverage of the quarterfinal round will begin at 10 AM ET on Thursday, Nov. 7, with the second and third games to follow at approximately 12:15 PM ET and 2:30 PM ET. Coverage of the semifinal round will begin live at 10 AM ET on Friday, Nov. 8, with the second game to air on delay at 11:30 PM ET that evening. The championship game will air live at noon ET on Sunday, Nov. 10. Three Big Ten teams appear in the latest national poll, including No. 6 Penn State, No. 13 Northwestern and No. 19 Iowa. The Nittany Lions seek their third-consecutive and seventh-overall Big Ten Tournament title.

BTN also will provide live coverage of the quarterfinals, semifinals and final of the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Tournament, hosted by Ohio State. Live streamed coverage of the quarterfinals will begin at 2 PM ET on Wednesday, Nov. 13, with the second and third games to follow at approximately 4:30 PM ET and 7 PM ET.  Semifinals will air live at noon ET and approximately 2:30 PM ET on Friday, Nov. 15. The final will be carried live at 2 PM ET on Sunday, Nov. 17. Penn State is the top-ranked team at No. 9, followed by No. 22 Michigan State, No. 23 Wisconsin and No. 25 Northwestern. The Spartans are the reigning tournament champion.

The network will offer delayed coverage of the Big Ten Cross Country Championships at noon ET on Thursday, Nov. 14. Purdue will host the event on Sunday, Nov. 3. The Big Ten has three nationally ranked men’s teams, including No. 7 Wisconsin, No. 16 Michigan and No. 24 Indiana. The Badgers have won the last 14 Big Ten men’s cross country titles, and will be seeking their 47th overall. On the women’s side, four Big Ten teams are ranked in the top 25, including No. 6 Michigan State, No. 14 Michigan, No. 15 Minnesota and No. 21 Indiana. The Michigan women’s team will aim for a second-straight conference title.

Your delayed coverage of the cross country championships is much too late. A couple days (two to three) I could understand, but 11?
