Michigan State's "Midnight Madness" event will be streamed live Friday at 9:25 p.m. ET as part of the Big Ten Digital Network subscription package. The Spartans return four starters from last year's 27-9 squad, which means expectations are sky-high for Tom Izzo's team heading into the 2013-14 season.

Michigan State will open the year as the No. 2-ranked team in the USA TODAY Sports coaches' poll.

The Spartans will be led by reigning Big Ten Freshman of the Year Gary Harris and big man Adrien Payne, both of who were ranked among the top 15 players in the nation by CBS Sports.

Michigan State will open the 2013-14 season against No. 1-ranked Kentucky in the Champions Classic on Nov. 12 in Chicago.
