BTN Communications, September 26, 2013

Since launching in August 2007, BTN has called the fabulous city of Chicago its home. Through various community initiatives as well as the BTN Big10K race, BTN is establishing deep roots here.

One indication is that twice in September, BTN was asked to participate in two storied traditions of the Chicago Cubs.

Just yesterday (9/25/13), BTN President Mark Silverman had the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch at the final Cubs home game of the season.

?It was a special moment where, for a few moments, I was able to go back in time and realize my dream as a 12-year-old to be a big-league pitcher one day," he said.

Also this month, BTN studio host Dave Revsine, and analysts Howard Griffith and Gerry DiNardo sang "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" during the seventh-inning stretch on Big Ten night (9/3/13) at Wrigley Field. Having been with the network since the beginning, Revsine, Griffith and DiNardo are three of the original members of the BTN family.

On behalf of everyone here at the network, thank you to the Chicago Cubs organization for allowing us to join the fun, and thank you, Chicago, for being such a wonderful home.
