Photo: Nebraska to wear black alternate vs. UCLA



In case you haven’t heard, Nebraska will wear a new adidas alternate uniform Saturday vs. UCLA. The uniform includes a white helmet, with a black stripe down the middle, a two-tone facemask, a black jersey and white pants, with a black stripe down the side of the legs.

Why all the black? The Huskers defense is known as the Blackshirts, after all, so adidas decided to incorporate the color throughout.

Last year, for its “Unrivaled Game” vs. Wisconsin, the Huskers also had a few touches of black on its all-red pajama look.
