Many people wondered what the Wisconsin offense would look like under Gary Andersen. In Saturday afternoon's season opener vs. Massachusetts, the Badgers – as Andersen insisted ever since he took over for Bret Bielema – stayed true to Wisconsin's roots. And that means running the ball, and doing so very well.

The Badgers ran at will vs. overmatched UMass, which is in its second year at the FBS level; in fact, Melvin Gordon (144 yards), James White (143) and Corey Clement (101) all eclipsed 100 yards, marking just the third time that's happened at Wisconsin.

So, yeah, the Badgers ran the ball like the Badgers do. They also were very prolific.
