For a change, people are excited about Nebraska basketball. It's easy to see why, too, what with Tim Miles' track record and gregarious personality, and a young nucleus headlined by sophomore Shavon Shields. And then there's the state-of-the-art Pinnacle Bank Arena, Nebraska's new $179 million home this winter.

The place is ridiculously nice – at least it looks that way from the photo the team posted to its Facebook page Wednesday. It's so new and so pristine that the photo almost looks fake.

The court also looks great. Two-tone hardwood isn't always easy on the eyes, but the state outline of Nebraska is a terrific touch. Two-tone or not, it's a big improvement from what the Huskers had the past couple of years at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.

Nebraska opens the arena with an exhibition vs. Nebraska-Kearney on Monday, Nov. 4.
