BTN's Dave Revsine to emcee Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon

The Big Ten Conference announced Tuesday that Dave Revsine, BTN's lead studio host, will serve as emcee for the 2013 Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon, presented by Allstate and BMW, on Thursday, July 25 at the Hilton Chicago. Festivities begin at 11 a.m. ET, with the players and coaches autograph and photo session for fans attending the luncheon, which starts at 12:30 p.m.

Revsine will be joined at the Kickoff Luncheon by each of the 12 Big Ten head football coaches and 36 of the conference's top returning players. Revsine will sit down with the coaches in groups of three to discuss the upcoming season. Penn State offensive guard John Urschel, an Academic All-American and winner of the prestigious Big Ten Medal of Honor, will speak on behalf of the players in attendance.

Revsine has served as BTN's lead studio host for a wide array of programming since the network's inception and was its first on-air hire. He is the primary anchor for Big Ten Football Saturday, including pregame, halftime and postgame shows as well as The Final Drive, which airs following the day?s last Big Ten football game.  He also co-hosts studio shows such as Big Ten Football and Beyond on Tuesday nights and BTN Live, which this year will air five days a week. Revsine will also anchor the network?s Summer Football Tour coverage in August. Born just miles away from the University of Illinois campus, Revsine was raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago, grew up following the Big Ten and graduated from Northwestern University.

The Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon annually attracts some of the most talented names in college sports. The event has drawn legendary coaches as well as each of the conference?s Heisman Trophy winners since 1970. In all, nearly 850 of the conference?s finest players, over 60 head coaches and more than 47,000 supporters have made the Big Ten Kickoff Luncheon a yearly stop in their preseason college football schedules.
