The Big Ten is moving away from games vs. FCS foes. That?s something we all can stand and cheer about! But, many ?tomato cans? remain on the schedule in 2013. In fact, a few made this list of the ?15 most shameful games matchups of 2013.?

Tennessee Tech at Wisconsin; Western Illinois at Minnesota; Missouri State at Iowa all made the list. But I?m trying to figure out how the Florida A&M at Ohio State matchup didn?t make this dubious list. It may be the biggest mismatch of all.

PENN STATE DEPTH CHART: Penn State released its depth chart prior to training camp. No big revelations. Tyler Ferguson and Christian Hackenberg are separated by an ?or? at quarterback. But, it will be a huge upset if Hackenberg isn?t the starter.

TOP 50 2103 HUSKERS: OK, Nebraska fans: The Omaha World-Herald is counting down the top 50 Cornhuskers for the 2013 season. You can start to salivate starting right ? now!

GRAHAM-GEORGE CANDIDATES: Matt Daniels of the Champaign News-Gazette has his list of the top 10 best bets to win the Graham-George Award, otherwise known as Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. (Man, I hate those hyphenated trophy names.)

Yes, Ohio State?s Braxton Miller is No. 1.

RETURN FOR GOPHERS: Good news for Minnesota: WR Andre McDonald may be back for training camp.

An offense in need of playmakers could use him. McDonald was the No. 1-ranked player in Minnesota when he came to the Gophers last season. He caught 10 passes in eight games, missing time when he was hospitalized for an undisclosed medical condition. He later was suspended for the bowl game for violating team rules. McDonald then missed spring practice and subsequently left school for personal reasons.

HEARTWARMING HUSKER STORY: Lee Barfknecht of the Omaha World-Herald has an emotional piece on Nebraska assistant Chris Harriman dealing with a son who is battling leukemia. Sorta puts things in perspective, if you know what I mean.

GRIII TO SF: Michigan plans to play Glenn Robinson III at small forward. But, the idea doesn?t seem to thrill Mike DeCourcy of Sporting News. Check out his ranking of the nation?s top 10 small forwards.

DOME NEWS: Good move by the NCAA to no longer mandate that an NCAA regional be played in a dome a year in advance of a Final Four at the site.

Domes are the worst. Quick trivia: The last time a Final Four wasn?t played in a dome was 1994.

IZZO WANTS LEADERSHIP: What will be the key to success for Michigan State next season? Tom Izzo says leadership.

Keith Appling? Adreian Payne? Travis Trice? Since Draymond Green left, the Spartans have had a leadership void.
