I just watched Big 10 Track Championships on BTN. The problem is it isn’t the Track Championships, it’s the Track and Field Championships. It was embarrassing how little attention the field events got. You spent more time INTRODUCING the men’s 1500 meter field than you spent on all the field events combined!! I’m sure you have limited resources and I don’t want to be too negative, but my God, how unfair to all those Field athletes that got 2nd or 3rd or 4th and never got 1 split second of recognition. Couldn’t you even put up a graphic with those that scored points for their team? And, of course, all Americans know how far a 7.69 meter long jump is. Wasn’t that 58.25 meter discus throw impressive? Come on, I triple jumped for for 10 years and my son does now and I still have to pull out my smart phone app and figure out how far 15.65 meters is. Can’t you get an intern to do conversions? Your crew did an awesome job announcing the track events. Think of all the parents, siblings and friends of the field athletes watching the broadcast–talk about disappointed!
