Spring Football rolls on Saturday across Big Ten

Five more teams play their spring football games on Saturday with an eye toward next fall. Will we see another magical moment like the one in this video from last Saturday?

There are plenty of shoes to fill across the conference, and BTN.com’s Tom Dienhart lists them here. And while Ohio State appears to be the favorite to win the Leaders Division, there’s plenty of football to be played between now and the Big Ten Championship on Dec.  7, 2013. Read our latest batch of spring previews here: Indiana, Michigan Northwestern, Ohio State, and Purdue.

As usual, we’ll post videos highlights Saturday in our Spring Football section while Dienhart keeps any eye on all of these games with his observations on Twitter (@BTNTomDienhart) and on BTN.com. Watch all of Saturday’s Big Ten Spring Football on BTN2Go.

Today is an exciting day for all of us. Last year was the changing of the guard where Michigan reclaimed its birthright as the dominant team in the state. Now as the landscape of the Big begins to change we are on the threshold of recreating the Bo-Woody era where Michigan and Ohio State dominate the conference for the foreseeable future. Brady Hoke starts to unveil his full arsenal today now that he has achieved separation from the other 10 schools

Go Blue. and follow the Wolverines on the Big Ten Network.

With conference networks, you would think alumni and fans would get more access and coverage, not less. This is why it is very disappointing the Ohio State Scarlet and Gray Game is not live on BTN.
– For years (maybe decades), the Spring Game could be watched live on local OSU affiliates in Ohio.
– In 2013, Ohio State fans do not have the option to watch the game live on TV. You don’t see a problem with that? You have a very large fan base and they do not have the option to watch the game live on TV (even in the home state)?
– Thanks for the access, BTN.

BTN Communications on 4/13/2013 @ 1:02pm EDT Said:

Hi Chris – We understand your frustration. Both OSU and Michigan scheduled their spring football games the same day and same time, and due to other considerations, neither school was able to move its game time to allow for live television coverage. Both games are available LIVE on BTN2Go and both games will be showcased in prime time tonight on BTN.

This lacrosse game on BTN is great, especially in Columbus, Ohio.Oh wait, the Ohio State Spring Game is at 1 p.m.? Great lacrosse game.

Not on TV (in Ohio) on 4/13/2013 @ 1:11pm EDT Said:

The Ohio State Spring Game is not available on BTN2Go for certain cable systems (like Comcast). BTN is forcing Ohio State fans (in Ohio) to turn to radio to follow the Spring Game. I didn’t realize I went back to the 80’s, when the OSU Spring Game wasn’t available live on TV in Ohio (with BTN2Go not available to cable systems).

Absolutely unacceptable the Ohio State game is not live on TV. You have a preseason Top 3 team and the Spring Game is not live on TV? The Illinois game was live on BTN Friday and there might have been 100 people in the stadium (might). I live in Central Ohio and this is a joke.

Hey Buckeye fan game to broadcasted on Big Ten channel at 7pm. I can wait just glad that it’s on . As they say better late than never.
