In a rematch of last season's national championship, No. 4 Northwestern edged No. 5 Syracuse, 13-12, in an entertaining affair Saturday at Lakeside Field in Evanston. Ali Cassera scored a career-high five goals, including three in the second half, and Erin Fitzgerald carded a hat trick to fuel the Northwestern attack.
With the win, the Wildcats improve to 9-1 on the year and beat the Orange for the 11th consecutive time.
