After a strong 6-0 start to the NCAA women's tourney, the Big Ten split a pair of second-round games Monday night. Nebraska upset Texas A&M, 74-63, to advance to the Sweet 16, while Michigan State was eliminated by future Big Ten member Maryland. Get stats and recaps in this post.

Jordan Hooper scored 21 points and Lindsey Moore had 20 points and a season-high 10 assists to lead Nebraska to a 74-63 win over Texas A&M on Monday night in the second round of the NCAA tournament. The sixth-seeded Cornhuskers used two big runs in the first half to build the lead and never trailed in the second half to earn their first trip to the round of 16 since 2010 and second overall.

Maryland 74, Michigan State 49: BOX | AP RECAP
Alyssa Thomas scored 28 points and future Big Ten member Maryland defeated Michigan State 74-49 Monday night to advance to the round of 16 in the NCAA women's tournament for a second straight year. Annalise Pickrel and Becca Mills each scored 12 for No. 5 seed Michigan State (25-9). The Spartans' two leading scorers, Klarissa Bell and Jasmine Thomas, combined for six points.

Illinois 62, Eastern Illinois 54: BOX | RECAP
Four Illini players scored in double figures and held Eastern Illinois to one field goal in the final 3:45 as Illinois beat the Panthers 62-54 in a second-round WNIT game at the Assembly Hall on Monday, giving head coach Matt Bollant his 300th career win. Karisma Penn led the Illini with 19 points, Amber Moore added 16, Ivory Crawford had 11 and Adrienne Godbold scored 10 as Illinois broke the school record for turnovers forced in a season, causing 22 EIU miscues.
