Penn State (25-5) won the Big Ten regular-season title and lost in the tournament semifinals for the second straight season. The Lady Lions fell 68-66 against eventual champion Purdue last year.
Penn State star Maggie Lucas, the conference player of the year, had 23 points and nine rebounds, but she was the only player on her team to score in double figures.
Michigan State will meet third-seeded Purdue in the title game Sunday.

Becca played an outstanding game!
Sad to see the Wolverines lose however the bottom line is most fans in Chicago support the Maize and Blue Brand name over MSU every time. The Spartans cannot compete with the market share. Most non colllege educated fans recognize Michigan. They will always support Michigan when they win and lose interest and tune out when MSU wins as MSU can simply not compete economically. Had Michigan been in that game tomorrow the arena would be sold out and ratings would have been high. Can not see much incentive for BTN to show the highlights of the game tomorrow now.
Reality check: YAWN Enjoy watching the spartans from the couch once again ! Your post has nothing to do with the game, get over yourself, Michigan is going downhill fast in every sport.
Ok Doug, tune in tonight and see which men’s game Michigan vs Indiana or MSU Northwestern gets more coverage. Whichever team gets more media coverage is the more important program. May the best man win tonight
Ok reality check when msu beat wisconsin that got more media coverage then michigan giving psu their first win, so there you go, try again mark
U of M. Overrated once again as usual.
Reality check, of course the Michigan-Indiana game will get more media coverage. It’s a top ten matchup, and it will determine the big ten champs. If you think that getting more media coverage than an MSU-Northwestern game makes Michigan the more important program, then well, reality check, you need a reality check.
Exactly Mike, reality check AKA Mark just can’t help himself
