Did You See This? McGhee's buzzer-beater

There are buzzer-beaters, and then there are the kind Indiana’s Jasmine McGhee hit Wednesday night. Any time a player beats the buzzer, especially the final buzzer, it’s exciting.

It’s all the more exciting, though, when it comes on a shot that lifts a struggling team past its fiercest rival, which just so happens to be ranked. Prediction: McGhee is still flying high following this game-winner to drop No. 22 Purdue.

McGhee’s buzzer-beater was only one of her many highlights on the night. She scored a game-high 26 points, and the outburst came on a very efficient 11-of-17 from the field (65 percent).

Best of all: Indiana snapped a 10-game losing streak when McGhee’s shot found the bottom of the net.

I was @ the game and it was like electricity in the air! The game was one fierce battle. Kk houser hit a sweet jumper to put Purdue up by one. Less than 12 secs on the clock. Nicole bell gets the ball to Jasmine McGhee. Her eyes had fire in them as you could sense the confidence. She looks at the clock – 2.7 secs to go – she drives right and elevates above the defender and releases a perfect jump shot – she buries it in the bottom of the nets! IU wins and Jasmine McGhee is tonight’s hero! Great game girls – awesome job Jazzy! Lol

How is Jasmine McGhee not the Big 10 player of the week?
She had 26 against Purdue (including the game winner, top 10 ESPN play) and 25 against Illinois.
What more can a girl do?
