It's gonna happen and not just in the Big 10. The SEC, Pac 12, Big 12 and ACC will all end up with 16 teams and once the Big 10 and SEC raid the rest o them for the big schools, it will force the Pac 12, Big 12, and ACC to pick from the non-premier conferences. With 5 conferences at 16 schools, that is 80 teams. I say let them play 10 conference games each, I mean, why in the hell are FBS schools padding their schedule with FCS schools (and the Big 10 ALWAYS does that) and we all scratch our heads wondering why we go 2-7 in bowl games. Get the cupcakes off the schedules. This is a good move and will force other conferences to follow. In the new joke of a playoff format, there is no doubt in my mind a Big 10 school will be 1 of the top 4 each year and if you want any chance of a Big 10 school winning, they need week after week tough competition.

If all the schools start spending their BTN money on coaching, facilities, and recruiting, you won't have to worry about them scheduling low quality opponents for both ooc games.
