Nebraska and Wisconsin wore special adidas uniforms this season on the gridiron, and they'll do the same on the hardwood. On Friday, the schools released alternate uniforms that should look familiar to anyone who watched the NBA on Christmas Day.

What does that mean? The uniforms, according to the schools, boast a "monochromatic color scheme with solid color team logo, names and numbers framed with minimal accent color and a shimmer finish for a bold statement."

Despite being the home team, Nebraska will wear an all-red uniform; the Badgers will go all-white. The teams are expected to don the uniforms again on Feb. 26, when Nebraska visits Wisconsin.

Here's a look at the back of the Nebraska jersey, where you really get a feel for the monochromatic scheme.

The Huskers host Wisconsin at 4:30 p.m. ET Sunday on BTN/BTN2Go.
