Aaron White scored 20 points as Iowa throttled Coppin State 80-50 on Saturday afternoon at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes (11-2) have won six straight games for the first time in eight years.

White made 7 of 8 shots from the floor and 6 of 7 from the foul line. The forward had six dunks – including a nice one-hand slam off an alley-oop.

The Hawkeyes scored 50 points in the paint and missed all 17 of their 3-point attempts.

Iowa used a 17-2 run in the first half to pull away from Coppin State (3-10). The Eagles didn't score on 16 of 17 possessions during that 10-minute stretch.

FINAL: Aaron White scored 20 points to lead Iowa to an 80-50 win over Coppin State on Saturday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City. Iowa (11-2) hit 52 percent of its field goals (31-of-60). The Hawkeyes went 18-of-31 from the charity stripe as a team (58 percent). Iowa also got double-digit performances from Roy Devyn Marble (11 points) and Gabriel Olaseni (14 points).

HALFTIME: Iowa held Coppin State's offense to just six first-half field goals, and the Hawkeyes lead 40-14 at halftime. Iowa , which never trailed, went on a 33-7 run to blow things open at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The Hawkeyes have been effective inside, making 17-of-20 two-point field goals, but they have struggled on the perimeter, shooting 0-for-11 from three-point range. Eight Iowa players scored in the first half. Aaron White has nine points to lead the Hawkeyes.
