Thursday's women's hoops roundup

Michigan had four scorers reach double figures and scored a season-high 73 points to cruise to the 73-32 victory over Valparaiso. Senior guard Kate Thompson scored a game-high 18 points, while senior forward Nya Jordan collected a career-high 14 rebounds.

Michigan State 50, Texas Tech 48 (OT): Michigan State won the 2012 South Point Holiday Hoops Classic with a 50-48 overtime victory over Texas Tech. Sophomore Kiana Johnson scored all six points for MSU in overtime, including the game-winning jumper with 8.3 seconds left. The Spartans improves to 11-1 for the fourth time in program history.

Nebraska 80, Oral Roberts 67: Jordan Hooper scored more than 30 points for the second straight home game, pouring in 33 points in just 25 minutes to lead the Nebraska women’s basketball team to an 80-67 win over Oral Roberts at the Devaney Center.
