Look at the three who were selected, all had great years and consistent through most if not all of their games, ND unbeaten, KState one loss and Texas A&M two losses in their first year in the SEC.

Both Miller and Ball had inconsistent performances during the year. Wisconsin problems got Ball off to a slow start, several sub 100 yard games. Miller had some games against weaker teams that severely limited his numbers as well.

The selection committed selected the three people who got the most votes and there is probably a big gap in the votes between these three and the rest of the field who did not get invited to NY.

Braxton Miller and Monte Ball had good years but nothing compared to the three chosen names--The defensive player is recognition of his excellence but I still doubt he will win. Suh went a few years ago.

Braxton Miller got absolutely snubbed. He was the best player in the conference this season and the only Big Ten player that is even worthy of the Heisman Trophy. Miller at the very least deserved to go to New York. As for the Big Ten's talented trio of running backs (Montee Ball, Le'Veon Bell, and Venric Mark), they were fine this season. Ball led the conference in rushing touchdowns, Bell led the conference in rushing yards per game, and Mark was the best of the three with regard to yards per carry. However, Northwestern wasn't strong enough nationally, and Wisconsin and Michigan State were middle-of-the-pack teams in the conference this year. Those three guys just don't belong at the same level as Collin Klein, Johnny Manziel, Miller, and Manti Te'o. While Manziel will probably win the award, here's to hoping that Te'o comes away with the trophy.
