Every facet? We completely shut down your punting game. Give us a little credit.
Maybe with the new conference additions we can end up in the same division someday.

Gerry - sorry to disappoint you, but these teams don't play again until 2015. If the Huskers are looking to get payback next year, they better hope to meet again in the championship game. Otherwise, they are going to be waiting for a long time. In response to several of the issues discussed above, the Bell hit was 100% clean and the Borland hit should have been a penalty. No arguments there. In terms of Wisconsin being classless, please get a clue before you write such an asinine comment. Nebraska kept the majority of their starters in the entire game. Martinez was desperately trying to score with under two minutes left when the team was down by 50. Talk about classless. Have a little self respect. Put the reserves in, run the ball, and get to the locker room. If the Huskers wanted Wisconsin to call it a night, they should have pulled their starters instead of trying to score. Let me get this straight. You guys want Wisconsin to pull all of their starters, but you want to leave your first team in the game and try and score? Bahahaha. I have read a lot of postgame commentary, especially the Husker blogs. The one takeaway from this game is that this is possibly one of the ugliest losses in school history (http://sports.omaha.com/2012/12/03/mad-chatter-dec-3/). A flat out embarrassment. The fact that Husker fans have come to this forum to complain about a few meaningless calls is just shameful. Wisconsin crushed Nebraska in every facet of the game. Husker fans should be directing their anger towards their impotent coach and the entire defensive unit, not the refs and Wisconsin fans.

I have no problem with Badgerboy73's comments. I was sure wishing they would pass too :) Total domination by a better coached and better prepared team. If we didn't like them scoring so much, a little tackling would have helped. While I congratulate them on their victory, I don't understand the call not being made on the Martinez tackle / body slam. No excuse. Blocks like the one by Bell happen so fast and look so violent, that if a Ref just caught a glimpse of it I could see him throwing the flag wrongly thinking it might have been unnecessarily rough. The slow motion body slam left no doubt.

to Badgerboy, your comments just prove that Wisc hasnt had enough winning to understand how to be a class program in wins and loses. I would bet that your Athletic Director Barry Avelrez wasnt impressed by this display and actions by some players.

Gerry and Bob, as a Wisco fan, I love the addition of NU to the Big Ten, and I have no doubt they will have many better moments than they did Saturday night. What I don't understand from NU fans, even a little bit, is the accusation that Wisco leaving its starters in until the end is classless. I see it exactly the opposite, on two fronts. First, this is the Big Ten championship game, not Wisconsin vs. some FCS cupcake. If you are the big dog and you've already broken the little dog's neck then, yes, get the starters out and have some mercy. But against a ranked NU team in the conference championship game that would be an insult to Nebraska. If Wisco takes out the starters what did they just say to NU? You aren't worthy of our best, this game is over, have fun playing our scrubs on national TV. NO, it was a show of respect from Wisco to keep their starters in, risking injury as you pointed out. They didn't use Nebraska, in the championship game on national TV, as practice for the 2nd and 3rd stringers, though it would have been very beneficial to get those guys the game reps. And when, specifically, would you like Wisconsin to start taking a knee when they've been up by 5 touchdowns since halftime? Second point: All Wisconsin did in the 2nd half was run the ball. The ironic thing is, usually teams get crucified for passing when they are up big, I honestly thought several times during the 2nd half, and in all seriousness, "Maybe we should start just throwing the ball to take our foot off the gas." When a team is getting murdered like that, there is no "classy" option. We didn't embarass NU, NU embarassed themselves. Period.

Nothing about being sore losers, we are obviously dissappointed that the Nebraska team was so unprepared to play. Wisconsin, on the other hand was ready and exceptionally prepared for their best game of the year. Huskers have the 4th winningest football program ever and are the winningest program for the last 50 years. We appreciate competing and competing well. Not showing up for a big game like this is very disappointing. That being said, the call on Kenny Bell's block was ridiculous, it was a shoulder to chest block on a player trying to make a tackle, a ridiculously bad call which the tv announcers agreed 100% on that it was a very bad call. A legitimate play like that is somehow flagged, yet Wisconsin linebacker Borland makes a WWE wrestling move, picking up Taylor Martinez over his head and body slamming him on his head/ shoulder, something that flagrant is somehow completely ignored, while other legitimate plays are flagged, there was also a helmet to helmet call that looked to be the wrong call also. It's getting to the point that contact of any kind is not allowed, and it is taking away from the game. It actually looks like they are moving towards outlawing the game entirely. You can't block low, you can't hit high or apparenly even on the shoulder, you can't hit too hard, you can't hit a player who is not paying attention, it has gotten confusing to players, coaches and fans alike, to try to understand what is allowed anymore and the calls have been terribly inconsistent . The Huskers were terrible Saturday night, but the officials were worse, it obviously did not cost them the game, it was just another horribly offciated game and that problem needs to be addressed. Congratulations to Wisconsin, they played a great game and hopefully will represent the conference well in the Rose Bowl, the bowl matchups look very difficult, hopefully we can hold our own.

Nebraska left their starters in so Wisconsin did too. I love how Husker fans are using the 'football is a tough game' logic on Bell's block and at the same time whining that a conference opponent over whom they were a favorite in the conference championship game was running up the score.

If you didn't want Wisconsin to run up the score, tackling someone may have been a good place to start.

Pat, make no mistake, theBadgers out coached and outplayed nebraska in every facet of the game. They were better prepared and played with a chip on their shoulder. I just wish they would have finished the game with a little more class, that's all. Huge kudos to the Badgers, they whipped up on us bigtime. The pile driver on Martinez at the end and a reverse when you're up by 5 scores in the fourth qtr is a bit much, don't ya think?

I love reading these Husker biased comments. They are all about the hit that I too thought was clean and legit and should have been a Touchdown. But what they refuse to talk about is the 70 points the Badgers legitamently scored. The Badgers could have let the Huskers score 5 free Touchdowns in the game, and still have won by 4. typical sore losers.
