Joe Harris scored 22 points to lead Virginia to a 60-54 win over Wisconsin on Wednesday at the Kohl Center in Madison. Akil Mitchell was 4 of 7 from the floor and chipped in 13 points for Virginia (5-2). The Cavaliers also got a solid contribution from Darion Atkins, who scored 12. Ben Brust scored 15 points for Wisconsin (4-3) in the game.

Ben Brust scored 15 points for Wisconsin (4-3) in the game. The Badgers had trouble finding their touch, shooting just 39 percent (21-of-54) from the field. More Wisconsin scoring came from Jared Berggren, who scored 12. Not only did Virginia go to the line 12 more times than did Wisconsin, it made the most of its opportunities, converting 14-of-17. The Badgers committed 15 fouls and made 4-of-5 free throw attempts.

HALFTIME: Joe Harris has 13 points to lead Virginia to a 24-23 lead over Wisconsin at the end of the first half. The Cavaliers have been able to keep the Badgers' leading scorer, Jared Berggren, under control thus far. The senior enters halftime with three points, well below his season average of 15.2. Wisconsin's Ryan Evans had a big first half, with six points.
