He is a terrific guy and has been for years. He chased down faster running backs before scoring touchdowns. Iowa’s offense was almost non-existent but they had a good defense when they spent most of the game on the field. He also returns kicks. He covers more turf than Roby. Having played both for two years. Hyde deserves this award.

You have certain coaches not voting for certain schools’ players/coaches (for recruiting purposes or otherwise).

It’s never a bad thing to add transparency to the coach’s vote.
