Doug, the word immediately after the game was that both Jackson and Steinkuhler would miss the title game next week, unfortunately.

Gutsy finish for Burkhead at much less than 100%, lots of hard nosed carries in crucial situations to put the game away, big time performance for a class guy. Nebraska also lost their starting center, Justin Jackson on the first series and best defensive lineman Baker Steinkuhler in the 2nd quarter and was pretty much unable to use their excellent downfield passing game due to the extreme winds. Tough game, nice win and also an excellent effort by the Hawkeyes in finishing up on a disappointing season, Hawks don’t usually stay down for long and expect to see them bounce back next year. Huskers will be loaded next year, on to Indy.

only drama for OSU-M tomorrow is to see if OSU can go undefeated, Mich to cap one bowl is pretty much a gaurantee, have fun losing to a SEC team
