So I pay to BTN to watch Hoosier games, but the number 1 team in the nation is not on the list of games being streamed live today? What am I even paying for? I would subscribe to the BTN2Go, but there's not way to pay for it. And no, my cable company isn't on the list... I need some answers.

Chris, that question pops up from time to time. If you want more details after this, feel free to use our Customer Service page. The CS team reads everything and can sometimes answer things with a little more detail. We just run the editorial potion of BTN.com here, but I thought I'd try to answer this.

The Extra Football Game Channels are only available to the Big Ten Network during the 13 football Saturdays of the season (we don't control access to them; there is no BTN2 or BTN3, as you're probably aware). The non-conference basketball season overlaps so frequently with other sporting events that BTN is not provided access to utilize the additional channels. During the conference portion of the Big Ten basketball season, the Big Ten schedules games in such a way where there is no overlap. Consequently, there is no need for Extra Football Game Channels during the conference schedule. If you need it, there's more about this from a football standpoint on our FAQ.

I am curious as to why with all the openers going tonight, that none of the games are on the auxillary BTN channels that show football games when there is overlap? It seems like a pretty shameful money grab to require Purdue and other fans across the conference to pay for a subscription to something they will use twice.
