Cody Zeller scored 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds and Christian Watford added 15 points and 14 boards as they teamed up to lead No. 1 Indiana to a 97-54 victory over Bryant on Friday at Assembly Hall in Bloomington.

Indiana (1-0) hit 56 percent of its field goals (30-of-54). Indiana was on fire from beyond the arc during the game, shooting 38 percent (8-of-21). The Hoosiers went 29-of-34 from the charity stripe as a team (85 percent). Indiana was tough on the offensive boards, grabbing ten.

Zeller helped lead the Hoosiers to victory, with 8-of-10 shooting from the field. Indiana also got double-digit performances from Will Sheehey, who scored 10 and Remy Abell, who scored 12.

Alex Francis scored 15 points, corralled eight rebounds, and had three assists for Bryant (0-1) in the game. Corey Maynard was 4-of-7 from the floor and chipped in 11 points for the Bulldogs. Bryant struggled from the floor, shooting 32 percent (20-of-62). The Bulldogs also got a double-digit contribution from Frankie Dobbs, who scored 12.

The Hoosiers won the rebounding battle en route to victory, pulling down 45 boards to 26 for Bryant.

Halftime: Indiana has a 48-28 lead over Bryant thanks to a hot-shooting offense. Hoosiers shot shot 56 percent in the first 20 minutes.

No. 1 Indiana led 41-28 before the Hoosiers went on a 7-0 run to close the half.

An aggressive offense and the ability to get to the charity stripe allowed Indiana to take a halftime lead. The Hoosiers went 15-for-19 on free throws in the first half.

The game was tied before the Bulldogs went into a funk, going the next 2:26 without scoring, and allowing Indiana to take a 7-0 lead early in the game.

The Hoosiers have been effective inside, making 12-of-17 two-point field goals, but Indiana has struggled on the perimeter, shooting 3-for-10 from three-point range. After already giving up seven offensive rebounds to the Hoosiers, Bryant will have to keep Indiana off the boards in the second half. Seven Indiana players scored in the half.

The Bulldogs shared the ball, finishing with six assists on 10 field goals in the first half.

Cody Zeller is putting together a nice game so far for the Hoosiers. The sophomore has 12 points and five rebounds. Alex Francis led the way for Bryant in the first half, with seven points and five rebounds.
