In our season's first basketball episode of "Big Ten Elite" on Friday at 10 p.m. ET right after the Indiana-Bryant men's basketball on BTN/BTN2Go, we take a close look at at the second Bob Knight's three national championship teams at Indiana. Just two years prior, Indiana didn't qualify for the NCAA Tournament. But with the arrival of star point guard Isiah Thomas the Hoosiers were back among the nation's elite.

The Hoosiers finished the season with a 26-9 overall record and a 14-4 mark in the league for a Big Ten title. In the NCAA Championship game, the Hoosiers beat North Carolina, 63-50, led by 23 points from Thomas, 12 points and six rebounds from Landon Turner and 11 boards from Ray Tolbert.

The show will re-air at 2 a.m. Saturday. Use our BTN TV schedule to find future showings, too.
