Omaha hosted the NCAA finals a few years ago to sold out audiences and the tickets were sold out months before before Nebraska had even made the final and the NCAA volleyball finals had the largest attendance ever. Omaha is fifty miles from the Lincoln campus. Nebraska loves their volleyball team and moving from the original colesium to the Devaney Center will probably remain a sell-out.

B1G Volleyball is excellent with so many quality teams. Lets hope all B1G teams do well in NCAA tournaments.

I appreciate the recognition you've given Spike Squad. As a member of the Spike Squad for 4 years, and part of the invasion of Rec Hall (and IU, Purdue, OSU, NW, Wis, and San Antonio) last year. I can tell you that it wouldn't have mattered where Illinois was located geographically last year, we still would have been at all those matches, and we still would have been louder than entire arenas.

A little additional information. The Illinois Spike Squad is 25 years old this year and one of the founding members continues to help support Illinois volleyball with membership in the Illini Networkers, the fan support group for Illinois volleyball. The Spike Squad and the Illini Networkers work closely to support the program throughout the year. During the Illinois vs Purdue broadcast, the Spike Squad was seen eating orange and blue frosted cupcakes. Those were a treat from the Illini Networkers to recognize their 25 years and thank them for the support of the program. The chairpersons of the squad serve on the board for the Illini Networks and plan promotions and events together.
