Every Saturday night during the college football season, BTN.com web editor Brent Yarina hands out his weekly Big Ten Game Balls. The series is called "U.S. Marines Corps: Leaders of the Week," and it's designed to spotlight the Big Ten's top individual performances. Who took home the honors from Week 10? Find out in this post.

WEEK 10 GAME BALLS

1. Taylor Martinez, QB, Nebraska: 16-36, 160 yards, 2 TD, 3 INT; 17 car., 205 yards, 2 TD – Martinez struggled through the air, evidenced by his 44 percent completion percentage and three picks, but he made plays when it counted. The junior hit Jamal Turner on a five-yard score (Watch TD) with six seconds left to lift Nebraska past Michigan State,  the third such time he's rallied the Huskers to victory this season. Martinez also ran for 203 yards and two touchdowns (Watch TD No. 1 | No. 2). The 203 yards were 96 more than his previous Big Ten-high and 38 shy of his career high.

2. Devin Gardner, QB, Michigan: 12-18, 234 yards, 2 TD, 1 INT; 10 car., 21 yards, 1 TD – Gardner was a surprise starter, filling in for star Denard Robinson, who was a last-minute scratch due to the right elbow injury that knocked him out of last week's loss at Nebraska. The quarterback-turned-receiver-turned-quarterback didn't disappoint in the victory at Minnesota. Following a slow start, the junior threw for 234 yards and a pair of scores (Watch TD No. 1 | No. 2). He also added a rushing score (Watch it).

3. Cody Latimer, WR, Indiana:  – 7 rec., 113 yards, 3 TD – Who's the Big Ten's best wide receiver? Is it Allen Robinson? Jared Abbrederis? It might be Latimer, who exploded for a career-high three touchdowns (Watch TD No. 1 | No. 2 | No. 3), including the game-winning score, in Indiana's comeback win over Iowa.

4. Carlos Hyde, RB, Ohio State: 18 car., 137 yards, 3 TD – There's a three-way tie atop the Big Ten in rushing touchdowns, and Hyde is one of the guys tied with 13 scores. The bruising Buckeye back visited the end zone three more times (Watch TD No. 1 | No. 2 | No. 3) in Ohio State's easy win over Illinois, giving him 11 in the last five games, and averaged an impressive 7.6 yards per pop.

5. Braxton Miller, QB, Ohio State: 12-20, 226 yards, 2 TD, 0 INT; 18  car., 73 yards, 1 TD – With every passing week, Miller becomes a more legit Heisman Trophy contender. Saturday's effort in Ohio State's rout of Illinois could do nothing but catch more voters' attention. The sophomore sensation amassed 299 yards and totaled three touchdowns, including a rushing score (Watch it) for the ninth time in 10 games. Miller also completed 60 percent of his passes and averaged 18.8 yards per completion.
