Penn State put up 14 points in the third, and the Nittany Lions now lead 34-3. Penn State threw for 93 yards and ran for 61 yards in the quarter. The Nittany Lions opened up the lead, 27-3, after marching down the field for a seven-play, 80-yard drive that ended when Matt McGloin found Jesse James open for a 12-yard touchdown pass.

Penn State added to its advantage when McGloin tossed a 41-yard touchdown to Brandon Moseby-Felder, the finishing touch on a six-play, 75-yard drive to give the Nittany Lions the lead, 34-3.

Penn State's Moseby-Felder hauled in two catches for 43 yards in the quarter to put him over 100 yards receiving for the game. Moseby-Felder has 129 yards on the day so far.

The Nittany Lions' Zach Zwinak reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the game thanks to 48 in the quarter, and currently sits with 100 yards in all. McGloin clinched a 200-yard passing game with 93 in the quarter, part of his 277-yard day through three quarters for Penn State.

The Nittany Lions will start the fourth quarter with possession at their own 15-yard line.
