The Fighting Illini plodded along, gaining no more than nine yards on every play.
Ohio State’s Hyde reached the 100-yard rushing mark for the game thanks to 64 in the quarter, and currently sits with 127 yards in all.
The Buckeyes will start the fourth quarter with possession on their own 40-yard line.
