Wisconsin's defensive line went crazy in the second quarter, penetrating Michigan State's backfield so often that the Spartans finished the second quarter with minus-2 rushing yards. The Badgers take a 7-3 lead to the locker room.

To be fair, neither team has found much rushing room thus far, as the Spartans have nine rushing yards to the Badgers' 23. Both teams had 14 carries in the first half.

The Badgers scored when Joel Stave and Jacob Pedersen hooked up for a 31-yard touchdown to cap a 10-play, 90-yard drive, giving Wisconsin the game's first lead.

Michigan State made the score 7-3 after Dan Conroy kicked a 33-yard field goal to finish off a 55-yard drive.

The Badgers will start the second half with the ball.
