Wisconsin defensive lineman Warren Herring was one of thousands of Wisconsin students to take part in the Charity Stripe Challenge, benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer and he stuck a shot that cost Wisconsin men's basketball coach Bo Ryan a $1,000 donation to charity. Get the details and the YouTube clip in the rest of this post.

Bo and his wife Kelly Ryan donated $1 to the American Cancer Society for every student that attended the Thursday event. Then each student could help boost that total by making some shots. Made free throws brought $10 apiece while half-court shots brought $1,000. Get more details on the event at UWBadgers.com.

Our colleague ESPN.com Big Ten blogger Adam Rittenberg reports that "more than 1,600 students attended the event, and Ryan ended up writing a check for $41,279." Read his blog post here.
