It had the same feeling as last year except the offense made plays when they needed to and the defense made stops when they needed to. To take care of business against a team that beat you as a 17 point dog at home last year shows some mental toughness. It was great to see all the red in the stands and pretty amusing when they cheered not fumbling the punt. Ameer looked around because he thought there was a penalty. Nothing silences the naysayers at Nebraska, just ask Dr. Tom. Every game against a division foe is a big game.

Big win for the Huskers, although with Pelini teams now having 3 of the top 4 comebacks in Nebraska history, it says something not just about resiliency but about constantly putting themselves in such big holes so often in big games. The constant for all five of Pelini's teams has unfortunately been undisciplined, inconsistent, turnover plagued squads that have been their own worst enemy. Here's a comment from Saturday's OWH Tom Shatel column, "It's been more evident than ever: Peini and his young staff are still learning how to do this and they don't have a lot of answers right now." All Husker fans hope this is a step in the right direction, but as Tom Shatel also correctly noted in his column, " nobody knows what to expect", and after five years that is not an endearing quality to Husker fans.
