He is the #1 rated quarterback in the conference, leading both Braxton Miller and Matt McGloin by more than 20 points! He leads the conference in both pass completion rate (67%) and passing yards/attempt (8.7). He also leads the Big 10 in touchdown passes with 15, and you don’t even mention him!

But there are more things than tackles, like sacks, TFL, INT, PD, etc. Also defensive stats are far more misleading than offensive, because everyone counts them differently.

Simple fact, the top three defenders in the Big Ten all play for Penn State. Mike Mauti is the top linebacker and the defender in the country. Period. Gerald Hodges is the second best while Jordan Hill has quietly replaced Devon Still as the nation’s top tackle.
