Wisconsin gained 113 yards on the ground in the third, and the Badgers now lead 24-7. Wisconsin stifled Purdue's offense, giving up just -6 total yards in the quarter. The Badgers have scored 24 unanswered points.

Wisconsin expanded its lead to 24-7 thanks to a two-play, 72-yard drive that ended when Montee Ball pounded in a 67-yard touchdown run. The run was the longest of Ball's career and it tied him for the most touchdowns in Big Ten history (71).

The Badgers will start the fourth quarter with the ball on the Boilermakers' 20-yard line.
