Wisconsin scored 10 points in the quarter, and the Badgers now lead 17-7. Wisconsin racked up 110 passing yards and 111 rushing yards in the quarter. The Badgers had four long plays in the quarter, including Montee Ball's 20-yard run. Wisconsin has scored the last 17 points.

The Badgers broke the 7-7 standstill when Ball ran three yards to paydirt to clinch a seven-play, 75-yard scoring drive. Wisconsin kept the ball on the ground during the drive, throwing only two passes.

The Badgers added to their advantage when Kyle French drilled a 30-yard field goal, putting a bow on a 10-play, 67-yard drive to give Wisconsin the lead, 17-7.

The Badgers' Ball rushed for 93 yards in the quarter to put him over 100 yards for the game. Ball has 126 total yards on the ground so far today.

Wisconsin will have possession to start the second half.
