Andrew Maxwell led Michigan State in the quarter. He threw for 108 yards and one touchdown and caught a 29-yard touchdown pass, but the margin is still four, as the Spartans trail 17-13. Michigan State made the score 7-6 after Dan Conroy drilled a 50-yard field goal to finish off a 49-yard drive. The Spartans used a grind-it-out style on the drive, as no play went for more than five yards.

Ohio State added to its advantage when Drew Basil kicked a 26-yard field goal, capping off a 13-play, 66-yard drive to give the Buckeyes the lead, 10-6.

Maxwell's 29-yard touchdown pass to Maxwell gave Michigan State the lead 13-10 after a two-play, 65-yard drive.

Braxton Miller's 63-yard touchdown pass to Devin Smith gave Ohio State the lead, 17-13, and was the final play of a four-play, 74-yard drive.

The Spartans' Maxwell hit 200 yards passing for the game in the quarter, part of his 237-yard passing performance thus far.

Michigan State has the ball at its own 46-yard line to begin the fourth quarter.
